When the story first came out about Gwyneth Paltrow’s efforts to stop an upcoming Vanity Fair “hit piece,” we thought it was just because she’s a control freak. It turns out she might have more to hide than just being an out-of-touch domestic goddess.

According to the New York Post, the story will delve into Mrs. Chris Martin’s ties to billionaire Jeff Soffer. “Vanity Fair is asking if Gwyneth had an affair with Jeff back in 2008,” says a source.

“It’s all one big lie,” her publicist told Radar Online. Paltrow reportedly emailed all her friends and begged them not to cooperate with the story’s writer, adding, “Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again.” Yow.FeaturesGossipGwyneth PaltrowJeff Soffer
