George Clooney reportedly set to wed lawyer

The world’s most popular bachelor is giving up the single life.

TV and movie star George Clooney is engaged to British human-rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, according to People magazine and Us Weekly. Clooney, 52, allegedly popped the question to Alamuddin, 36, “not that long ago, I think,” a source with knowledge of the situation tells People. The pair was seen celebrating at Los Angeles and Malibu restaurants on Wednesday and Thursday.

“George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren’t really trying to hide this, it doesn’t seem,” a source says. “I think it’s like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever.”

Alamuddin is reportedly the first non-Hollywood love interest for Clooney.
