Dave Matthews, Phil Collins, Black Keys, Chainsmokers, Paul Simon coming to SF

Chase Center, the Warriors’ new stadium, will get christened Sept. 6 with a concert featuring Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony, and the Dave Matthews Band follows quickly on Sept. 10.

Warriors officials, symphony music director Michael Tilson Thomas, Metallica’s James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich and San Francisco Mayor London Breed shared the news at a press conference last week on site, before officials announced other upcoming arena shows, including Matthews, Phil Collins (Oct. 17); the Black Keys (Nov. 20); The Chainsmokers, with 5 Seconds of Summer and Lennon Stella (Nov. 29); and Andrea Bocelli and the San Francisco Symphony appearing together for the first time (Dec. 5).

Concert tickets are, or will, be on sale at http://chasecenter.com/chaseonsale.

In other major concert news, Outside Lands promoters announced that Paul Simon will be among the headliners in 2019. Other top acts in the Aug. 9-11 festival in Golden Gate Park will be announced on March 26.
