Most stars sentenced to community service end up sullenly picking up trash at the side of the road. Lindsay Lohan says her community service required her to roll out a body bag for late superstar Whitney Houston.
It seems like the most unlikely celebrity crossover since Lil Wayne sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at a 2012 Giants playoff game for his buddy Ryan Theriot, but Lohan claims it happened when she was assigned to the Los Angeles County morgue as part of her probation for a DUI.
In an interview with the U.K.'s Telegraph to promote her upcoming appearance in a London stage production, LiLo said she was singled out for tough tasks, saying, “It's different for me than it would be for other people — like, no one would really have to work at the morgue in L.A. and roll a body bag for Whitney Houston.”
But on Monday, the L.A. Coroner's Office said Houston was never in a body bag after her cocaine-related death in 2012 — she was wrapped in plastic — and nobody in the probation program came in contact with the body.
KANYE GETS A BAD RAP
No, Kanye West did not harangue a fan in a wheelchair for not standing up during a concert in Australia over the weekend.
West won't win any awards for his sensitivity — at one point he made it clear standing was mandatory “unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s***.”
But as Web headlines screamed “Kanye West yells at wheelchair-bound fan to 'stand up'?” and “West tries to shame man in wheelchair into standing,” venerable urban-legend-debunker Snopes.com had to stand up for Yeezy.
After studying a concert video like it was the Zapruder film, Snopes observed, “When the crowd began to chant 'stand up' during the pre-song banter … West ascertained that one of the non-standing fans was indeed wheelchair-bound, [and] responded with 'if he's in a wheelchair, it's fine,' and continued with the show.”
