Clift Hotel revelers ring in 2012

New Year’s Ball 2012: San Francisco’s Clift Hotel was the site of the Justin Roja Presents black-tie event. DJ David Carvalho provided the music; partial proceeds go to Grace’s Kids, a nonprofit working to fund a new hospital in Uganda and supporting other charitable projects in Africa.

Music lovers spread cheer

MNS ‘Friend Raiser’: On Dec. 8 at the San Francisco home of Alexandra and Spencer Wells, about 150 members of the Center for Music National Service and their guests raised $30,000 toward the organization’s flagship program,  MusicianCorps, which places musicians to serve as teachers, mentors and therapists in Bay Area schools, hospitals and other high-need settings.

Romance ushers in the new year

New Year’s Eve ‘Casablanca’: Vintage 415, a party-planning outfit in The City, presented a Hollywood-themed holiday bash at Hotel Vitale & Americano. Co-hosts included Tom Roche, Kate Souza and Nick Viskovich.
