Celebrity weddings of 2010

Although 2010 saw its fair share of breakups, there were plenty of lovestruck stars who sealed the deal by walking down the aisle. Here are some of the high-profile pairs who had a happy ending — for now, at least.

March

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen

This couple is better at going undercover than the CIA. The “Wedding Crashers” star secretly married the “Borat” funnyman in Paris in March, in front of only six guests who received very short notice about the nuptials. During summer, they welcomed a sibling to daughter Olive — but did not announce the child’s name or sex. What gives, guys?

May

Jane Lynch and Lara Embry

The “Glee” star wed her longtime love in Sunderland, Mass. At the reception, she performed the “Vogue” dance routine she did on the show, alongside her new stepdaughter, Haden, 8, who had learned the moves as Jane was practicing them. How cute is that?

June

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green

After being together since 2004 — and rebounding from one broken engagement — the “Transformers” actress and the former “90210” star finally tied the knot, in a beachside ceremony in Hawaii. Needless to say, she looked hot.

June

Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford

In a relationship since 2002, the “Ally McBeal” actress and the “Star Wars” star were married by the governor of New Mexico at his mansion. (He wore jeans.) “Me, a newlywed?” Harrison scoffed in November. “We were together for 10 years. The honeymoon’s over!”

July

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher

The country singer and the hockey player had a lavish ceremony in Georgia (her dog wore a Swarovski crystal-studded tuxedo). But they are in no hurry to have kids. “Oh, it’s going to be a while,” Carrie recently told InStyle magazine, noting that Mike had recently “sent me a funny text saying, ‘Watching my friend’s kids … Let’s wait a while.’”

July

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr

While some stars make deals with tabloids for rights to photos of their wedding (see Carrie Underwood), this famously private couple eloped during summer shortly after announcing their engagement. The following month, they confirmed rumors that she was pregnant with their first child. We are guessing that is one kid who will not ever go through an awkward phase.

July

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz

Sporting a baby bump, the R&B singer was radiant as she wed the producer on the isle of Corsica. In October, she gave birth to their son, Egypt.

August

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer

The “True Blood” stars had a blast at their wedding. After they said their vows in Malibu, Stephen took a splash in the ocean. Then it was off to the Emmy Awards before a honeymoon in Italy. (Stars — they are definitely not like us!)

October

Katy Perry and Russell Brand

Some were skeptical that reformed ladies’ man Russell would actually make a commitment to one woman. But after a week of festivities, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer and the comedian said their vows in India — where he had proposed — in an extravagant production with animals, including an elephant, in attendance.

December

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden

After four years together and two children, the socialite and the Good Charlotte rocker made it official with a lavish ceremony that featured, what do you know, an elephant. No word on whether it was the same pachyderm present at Katy Perry’s nuptials.
