Amanda Bynes' mother was finally granted temporary conservatorship over her daughter until the end of September, at which time a judge could extend it further.

Bynes was not present at the trial because she is so ill, according to TMZ. In fact, the judge increased her involuntary hold for another 30 days. The TMZ story says the law states that this is done only when someone is “gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder.”

Amanda did get a bit of good cheer, though, when her dog was allowed to visit her in the hospital.
