San Francisco firefighters are trying to determine how three small fires sparked in Golden Gate Park on Thursday afternoon, a fire department spokesperson said.
The fires were reported along John F. Kennedy Drive near Chain of Lakes Drive shortly after 1 p.m.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the small fires out were later working on determining how they started, fire spokesperson Jonathan Baxter said.
John F. Kennedy Drive was closed between Bernice Rodgers Way and Chain of Lakes Drive for the investigation. Residents were advised to avoid the area.
