Streets closed for Super Bowl City to reopen early

The Embarcadero and other streets in the Financial District that closed for Super Bowl City last week will reopen Thursday evening, a day ahead of schedule, transit officials said.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency said streets that will reopen Thursday include Market Street between Beale and Steuart streets; southbound Embarcadero between Washington Street and Don Chee Way; and Spear, Steuart and Main streets between Market and Mission streets.

The intersections of Main, Spear, Drumm, and Steuart streets at Market Street will reopen Thursday as well.

Muni service will resume its normal schedule and routes on Friday morning. The F-Market lines will operate by bus shuttle on Saturday and Sunday due to additional work near Steuart Street, though the E-line will run as normal.
