Power restored to 5K PG&E customers in SF

Service was restored to more than 5,000 residents in San Francisco Sunday morning after equipment failure caused an outage.

Around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, 5,680 customers were without power after underground equipment failed, according to PG&E spokeswoman Jacqueline Ratto

Crews were able to identify the cause of the outage. By 6:48 a.m. power had been restored to all customers, Ratto said.
