Police respond to report of ‘suspicious object’ on Cow Hollow sidewalk

Police early Monday morning investigated a “suspicious object” reported on a sidewalk in Cow Hollow.

Officers responded to the 2700 block of Green Street just before 8 a.m. to reports of the suspicious object and subsequently called in the bomb squad, according to police.

The suspicious item was left near the Consulate General of Russia, located at 2790 Green St.

The bomb squad later determined the object was not hazardous.
