Firefighters contain one-alarm blaze in Outer Richmond

Emergency crews have contained a first-alarm fire at an apartment building in San Francisco’s Outer Richmond district this afternoon, a fire spokesperson said.

he fire was reported at 600 41st Ave. at 3:33 p.m. and contained by 3:52 p.m.

At 3:55 p.m. it was still active but dying down, according to fire spokesperson Jonathan Baxter.

The building appeared to have some construction in progress, Baxter said, but was not vacant.

There were no injuries reported and it’s not yet known whether anyone was displaced. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
