Elderly man struck by car near Balboa Park BART station

An elderly man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle near the Balboa Park BART station in San Francisco on Wednesday evening, police said.

The 72-year-old man was crossing the street at Ocean and Delano avenues at 7:19 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle, police said.

He was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No arrest was reported, and police did not release a description of the driver or vehicle.
