Crash snarls traffic on Bay Bridge

A multi-vehicle crash in San Francisco was causing major delays on the Bay Bridge on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash on westbound Interstate Highway 80 near the Fifth Street off-ramp was reported at 12:08 p.m., CHP officials said.

A motorcycle and two cars were involved in the crash. CHP officials did not immediately disclose the extent of any injuries.

Three lanes of the highway were blocked as of 12:16 p.m., causing backups on the Bay Bridge.
