A bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries Monday night when a car struck him near San Francisco’s Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood, according to police.
At 8:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving a driver and bicyclist at the corner of Geary Boulevard and Divisidero Street, Officer Carlos Manfredi said.
The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered severe head trauma as a result and was taken to a hospital, according to Manfredi.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, Manfredi said.
Investigators stayed at the scene until about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police are continuing to look into what caused the collision, according to Manfredi.
