Earlier this year 7 Mile House started an annual 7 Mile House Jazz Fest headlined by Ray Obiedo, with host KCSM Jazz 91 DJ Alisa Clancy and featuring 11 of the Bay Area’s top jazz bands. It also marked the first annual “7 Mile House Jazz Appreciation Awards” given to Mario Guarneri (Outstanding Bay Area Jazz Presenter), Andrew Gilbert (Outstanding Bay Area Jazz Promoter), and Outstanding Bay Area Jazz Artist (Vince Lateano). Next year’s Jazz Fest is on May 4, 2019, kicking off the year’s Bay Area Jazz Season.

When you come to the venue make sure you check out the 7 Mile House “Jazz Wall of Fame”, to the right of the bar, featuring a permanent display of local musicians. Photographed and curated by Jessica Levant, a San Francisco based photo artist and jazz aficionado, who along with co-jazz lover Linda McGilvray, produced two volumes of Bay Area Jazz and Bluesicians; a project that originated and was launched at the 7 Mile House in 2013.
