A man walked into a Richmond District bank Monday morning and demanded money before fleeing, police said.
The robbery took place near the intersection of Geary Boulevard and 19th Avenue at 9:15 a.m., according to police.
The suspect, described as a man in his 30s, told a female teller he wanted money. The teller handed over cash, and the suspect fled. No weapon was observed during the robbery.
Police have yet to make an arrest in the robbery.
Police did not say which bank was robbed. There are multiple banks on that block, including Sterling Bank & Trust and Wells Fargo. The next block has a Bank of America.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported the bank robbery suspect was female.
