Woman allegedly uses pepper spray to steal alcohol

A woman was arrested Monday morning after she allegedly shot pepper spray into a store and stole alcohol near Balboa High School, according to police.

The 57-year-old suspect entered the store at Mission Street and Russia Avenue and shot the pepper spray before she stole a bottle of wine and a bottle of beer around 9:30 a.m., police said.

The San Francisco Fire Department responded and fanned the lingering pepper spray out of the store, according to police.

No injuries were reported, and the suspect was later arrested by police.
