Warriors win summer league title

LAS VEGAS — The Warriors defeated the Phoenix Suns 91-77 on Monday to win the inaugural NBA summer league championship. The Warriors finished the summer league undefeated (7-0) for a second consecutive year and have won a record 14 consecutive summer games dating back to 2010.

Rookie guard Ian Clark was named the championship game MVP, tallying 33 points.

Kent Bazemore led the Warriors with 18.4 points to go with 4.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.7 steals in 30.1 minutes over seven games.

The Warriors, coached this summer by assistant Darren Erman, held opponents to 69.8 points on 36.8 percent shooting over seven games in Las Vegas.
