After handling the Los Angeles Clippers by 28 points and toppling the San Antonio Spurs by 20, the Golden State Warriors wiped out the Denver Nuggets, 127-108, on Saturday to cap the club’s unblemished road swing.

“I’m really pleased – what a great trip,” head coach Steve Kerr told reporters. “Three tough teams and, obviously, we’re rounding into form and we kind of turned a corner, I think, on this trip.”

On a night when the Warriors closed out the three-game stretch with an average margin of victory of 22.3 points, Stephen Curry delivered a virtuoso performance.

Curry dropped 22 points on the Nuggets and dished out 11 assists while finishing plus-44 in 30 minutes.

As a group, the Dubs handed out 37 assists — tying their season high and also accounting for the most dimes any team has recorded this season

The Warriors ambushed the Nuggets with a 16-2 run in the first four minutes of the second half, exploding for a 43-21 third quarter and commanding a 103-76 lead entering the final frame.

The opening half had been a tale of two quarters. After building a 36-23 advantage at the end of the first, the hosts hit the Warriors with a 15-0 barrage to open up the second quarter, briefly stealing away the lead.

The Warriors stabilized late in the second, carrying a 60-55 advantage into the break, thanks in large part to Curry who had nine assists and 10 points in 18 minutes.

Izzo in the house

With Tom Izzo, Draymond Green’s ex-head coach at Michigan St. in the building, the former Spartan flooded the box score, going for 15 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, two steals and a block — all in 27 minutes.

Livingston out

Kerr opted to hold out Shaun Livingston for rest, allowing both Jordan Bell and Kevon Looney to be active.
