The Warriors’ offense is missing Stephen Curry. Entering Thursday’s 112-97 win over the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State was scoring 13.4 fewer points per game when the former unanimous MVP is out of the starting lineup.

It’s been the defense that has helped the defending champions bridge the gap while Curry mends a sprained ankle. In the four games since the injury, the Dubs have held their opponents to fewer than 100 points three times. They also have extended their winning streak to eight.

Kevin Durant led the way offensively in the Warriors’ win over the Mavs, scoring 36 points to go with 11 rebounds and seven assists. Klay Thompson also helped shoulder the scoring burden by contributing 25 points.

The Warriors will travel to Los Angeles to play the Lakers in their next game on Monday.
