Violent assault sends man to hospital in the Mission

A 43-year-old man is in stable condition following a brawl outside of a business at 19th and Mission streets early Sunday morning.

Two men estimated to be 25 and 26 years old approached the victim at 2 a.m. and began punching and kicking him until the victim lost consciousness. The 25-year-old suspect then stole the victim’s cellphone.

Police arrested both suspects, while the victim suffered bruising to the face and head, and a swollen eye, and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.
