The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s office identified the 25-year-old man who died in a car crash Tuesday night as Yongze Wei, a San Francisco resident. According to police, Wei was driving along Sunset and Lake Merced boulevards at about 10 p.m. when his car hit a curb; he was ejected from his car and pinned by the vehicle, police said.Wei was removed by fire crews and eventually pronounced dead at San Francisco General Hospital.Medical authorities waited to release Wei’s name because his family was out of the country and had not been notified. State Senator Leland Yee is planning to introduce legislation into the California Legislature that will ban the use of technology to create firearms with 3-D printers.Lee’s call for action comes in the wake of news that a University of Texas law student has manufactured a completely functional firearm with 3-D-printing technology.“We must be proactive in seeking solutions to this new threat rather than wait for the inevitable tragedies this will make possible,” Yee said in a press release. Muni trains experienced a 65-minute delay this afternoon after police were called to remove a man from the tracks at the Powell station.Train service resumed at roughly 1:30 p.m. after police finished their investigation.
