Man pleases only self at Muni stop

What a jerk! A 35-year-old man was arrested on indecent exposure charges Wednesday morning after allegedly masturbating at a Muni shelter and a nearby hospital. About 9 a.m., police officers were called about a man exposing himself in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and California Street, near the California Pacific Medical Center campus. A witness said the man was seen masturbating on hospital property and told to leave. Read More

School burglarized after Facebook computer donation

A month after Facebook donated computers to a San Bruno elementary school that had been burglarized, three Fairfield men were arrested in connection with another break-in at the school Tuesday night. At 8:41 p.m., officers reportedly responded to a burglary alarm at El Crystal Elementary School at 201 Balboa Way and  discovered a window had been shattered and also a door forced open to one of the classrooms. Brave clerk scares off armed thug

A courageous corner store clerk in the Mission District called a gun-toting thug’s bluff Wednesday and thwarted the robbery, police said. About 6:30 p.m., a thug reportedly walked into the liquor store in the 3000 block of 26th Street while the clerk was restocking shelves. He pulled out a gun and demanded cash, police said, but instead of complying the clerk, a 47-year-old man, began hollering at the goon to leave his store. The suspect reportedly fled empty handed. Arms but no hammer in Laundromat spat

It was a clean break. Two women decided not to press charges against each other after a brawl at an Oceanview Laundromat last weekend. The dispute spun out of control when one of the women removed the other woman's clothes from a dryer, police said. About 6:45 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 200 block of Broad Street and spoke with one of the women, who claimed the other woman had pulled her hair and hit her in the face multiple times. Thief gives café patron literal pick-me-up

These thugs should lay off the caffeine. Two men have been arrested in connection with separate laptop robberies in San Francisco Tuesday, including a brazen heist at an Ocean Avenue café in which they allegedly threw a woman out of her seat before fleeing with her computer. Police were called to the coffee shop in the 1700 block of Ocean Avenue about 1:50 p.m. and spoke to the 22-year-old victim, who was not injured during the robbery. Read More

Cuddling stalker embraces guilt

A Burlingame woman who woke up in her bed to a stalker hugging her earlier this year might rest easier knowing the nutty ex-boyfriend pleaded no contest to the creepy charges on Tuesday. Jimmy Andres Rodas, 21, of San Bruno, pleaded to felony stalking and a misdemeanor count and faces as many as eight months in prison. He was ordered into domestic violence counseling and must have no contact with the victim for 10 years. Prosecutors said Rodas went to the victim’s house uninvited multiple times even though she had ended the relationship in October. Read More

Shooting after Bayview park drug spat

A 48-year-old man was shot in a Bayview district park Tuesday following an apparent argument over drugs, police said. The shooting was reported about 7:15 p.m. in a small park with a children’s playground at Palou Avenue and Phelps Street. It was not immediately clear whether anyone besides the suspect and victim were in the park at the time of the shooting. The two argued about drugs, Officer Albie Esparza said, but investigators did not offer details about a possible motive. Read More

Thieving U.S. postal worker delivered to drug rehab

A former U.S. Postal Service worker in San Carlos who stole thousands of pieces of mail for their credit cards was sentenced Tuesday to a year in County Jail and three years of probation, and he also was ordered to enter a drug rehabilitation program. Romeo Maniulit Natan, 39, of San Bruno pleaded no contest in January to identity theft, commercial burglary and credit card fraud, all felonies, and faced up to three years in prison on the counts, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said. Parking complaint leads to drug bust

Complaints from residents and merchants in the Outer Mission district about double parking on their street reportedly led to a meth bust Sunday. About 7:30 p.m., officers responding to the complaints in the 5200 block of Mission Street spotted an occupied vehicle blocking two driveways. A passenger in the car was on probation, allowing for a police search that allegedly uncovered methamphetamine. Read More

Boy, 15, arrested for murder of Cameron Myers, 20, in Hunters Point

A 15-year-old boy from Nevada County has been arrested on murder charges in connection with the fatal stabbing last week of 20-year-old Cameron Myers in San Francisco’s Hunters Point neighborhood. The boy, who is not being identified because he is a minor, was detained by police in Nevada County about 2 a.m. Sunday, San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said. Police locally and in Nevada County remain tight-lipped about the investigation and what led to the arrest. Read More

Another bank heist in Inner Sunset

A bank robbery in the Inner Sunset district Monday afternoon was the second such heist in the lively neighborhood in just over a month, police said. About 12:45 p.m., a man in his 50s reportedly walked up to a teller and demanded cash at the Citibank branch at the corner of Irving Street and Eighth Avenue. Senseless thuggery in Walgreens robbery

Police are hunting for the unnecessarily vicious robber who pistol-whipped two Walgreens employees who had obeyed his orders inside their Bayview store Sunday. A 25-year-old man who reportedly works as a customer greeter at the store at Third Street and Evans Avenue said he was attacked while closing shop about 7:45 p.m. The man walked to the rear to punch in the code to the security office when he was confronted by a gun-toting thug who demanded his keys as well as the keys from a female coworker. Alleged gun nut held to answer in officer-involved shooting

The parolee who allegedly shot at police at Gough and Ellis streets during the middle of the morning commute two years ago was ordered to stand trial Monday on attempted murder and assault and firearm charges. Roselyndo Sicat, 40, was approached by plainclothes officers about 8 a.m. on June 29, 2011 as he was pulling out of a garage. When officers identified themselves, police said, he pulled out a handgun and fired at least one shot. The officers were not hit and returned fire, wounding Sicat. Sicat attempted to drive off but crashed into a parked car. Read More

Tough luck for alleged 'Rub Me' groper

A man accused of grabbing the buttocks of young girls at a Target store while wearing a T-shirt that read “Rub Me For Luck” unsuccessfully asked a judge last week to throw out the charges. UPS deliveryman Glenn Albrecht, 50, is scheduled to return to court Tuesday to either accept a plea deal with prosecutors or head to trial. His attorney, Bob Courshon, said Monday he will ask to continue the hearing so he can further examine video evidence in the case. Read More

Thief begs for mercy after unholy heist

A thief cried out for mercy in the Outer Mission district last week after he was taken down for stealing a man’s crucifix, police said. The robbery was reported at about 1:20 p.m. Thursday in the 5200 block of Mission Street. The victim had been walking in the crosswalk at Mt. Vernon Avenue when the suspect, who had been walking past him, reached out and ripped the metal chain and copper crucifix from his neck, according to police. Read More
