A three-story building in San Francisco's Noe Valley sustained significant damage in a fire Saturday afternoon, but no one was injured.

The two-alarm blaze broke out on the 4000 block of 24th Street, between Noe and Castro streets. The first floor is a Radio Shack store, adjacent to a Wells Fargo bank, and the second and third floors are apartments. The blaze began around 3:50 p.m. and was under control within 40 minutes, according to San Francisco fire officials.

An assistant fire chief on the scene said the fire didn't result in any injuries and the cause is under investigation.
