Three San Mateo County teams are still alive by virtue of winning their Central Coast Section Divisions.

Serra, out of the powerful West Catholic Athletic League, defeated two conference rivals en route to a surprising triumph in the Division II playoffs. During their run, the fifth-seeded Padres knocked off St. Francis and Archbishop Mitty, with the latter coming in the finals.

Behind a hardy defense, Menlo-Atherton captured the Division I crown, winning the title with a 17-0 shutout of Milpitas in the final.

At the Division V level, Half Moon Bay came out victorious, with the Cougars defeating the Menlo School 41-24 in the final.
