Police detained three people Saturday at the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco on suspicion of peddling with out a permit, police said.
Officers acted on a tip from staff with Another Planet Entertainment and detained the trio at about noon at the corner of 25th Avenue and Fulton Street, according to police. The three were allegedly selling non-transferable artist bands, police said.
Officers identified the trio as Oakland resident Xavier Dphrrpaulezz, 40, San Francisco resident John Beckmeyer, 22, and San Francisco resident Alistar Monroe, 44, according to police. It has been reported that Dphrrpaulezz is the singer of the band Fantastic Negrito, whose scheduled Saturday performance at the festival was canceled due to the arrest.
Officers took the three to the Richmond Command Center, located inside the festival grounds, where they were cited and released, according to police.
