Treasure Island Music Festival returns

After a year–long hiatus, the Treasure Island Music Festival has returned for its 11th year. Only now, the two-day music event will be a misnomer as it’s been relocated to Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland.

Slated for Oct. 13 and 14, TIMF will be headlined by psych-rockers Tame Impala and rapper A$AP Rocky.

Other names on the bill include: Silk City (a collaboration between producers Mark Ronson and Diplo), Bay Area transplant Toro y Moi and beatmaker Nosaj Thing teaming up as Laff Trax, LA-based Lord Huron, the 7-person live outfit Jungle, rapper and president of G.O.O.D. music Pusha T, Portland-bred hip-hop artist Aminé, Cigarettes After Sex, Hiatus Kaiyote, Santigold, Moses Sumney, Courtney Barnett, Sharon Van Etten and more.

Two-day general admission and VIP tickets go on sale Friday at noon at, starting at $165 for general admission passes and $325 for VIP.

The festival was forced to move across the bridge due to development and construction at its original site. Middle Harbor Shoreline Park recently hosted Goldenvoice’s Blurry Vision Festival earlier this month, which was headlined in its inaugural year by SZA, Migos, Isaiah Rashad and BROCKHAMPTON.

Past TIMF have included OutKast, Beck, LCD Soundsystem, James Blake, Beach House, Death Cab for Cutie, MGMT and Belle and Sebastian.

TIMF is produced by Another Planet and San Francisco’s Noise Pop.
