Westmoor boys’ basketball coach Herb Yaptinchay doesn’t know the last time the Rams defeated a West Catholic Athletic League opponent — because it may have never happened before. Hurdlers in spotlight going into CCS finals

The Peninsula Athletic League will be highlighted at the Central Coast Section Track and Field Finals on Friday at Gilroy High School by Westmoor’s Andria Donley and Burlingame’s Allison Daley. Daley, who went to the state championships last year, was the top qualifier in CCS for the 300-meter hurdles after winning at the PAL Championships. “Anybody who gets race experience really helps,” Burlingame coach Megan Fish said. “She’s used to big competition.” Read More

With the Peninsula Athletic League Track and Field Championships beginning Wednesday, the field is wide open, but the Westmoor High School boys and girls track teams lead the pack, and despite losing some stellar runners from last year, the Rams continue to find ways to win.
