San Francisco population grew slightly over last 10 years, Census data shows

San Francisco has grown in 10 years – but only barely. The U.S. Census 2010 began releasing California data Tuesday, including the population counted on April 1 last year. The Census pegged San Francisco’s population on that date at 805,235 – up about 28,500 people from the 776,733 counted on April 1, 2000. That rate of increase is just 3.7 percent – far lower than most other counties in the state. Comparatively, Riverside County had a 41.7 percent increase. Read More
