The Solano County coroner’s office has identified a Fairfield man and woman involved in an apparent murder-suicide Thursday evening.Police received calls of a shooting at a home in the 300 block of Tulip St. around 6:38 p.m. Officers arrived and found 39-year-old Cassandra Turner and 38-year-old Adam Turner with gunshot wounds to the torso inside the home’s garage.

A California Highway Patrol officer pleaded not guilty today in Solano County Superior Court to stealing electronics from a Vacaville Target store earlier this month.Shawn Hammonds, 36, of Vacaville, is charged with four counts of burglary with intent to commit grand or petty larceny. A preliminary hearing date will be set July 12.Hammonds was on leave for a non-job-related injury at the time of the alleged thefts, a CHP official said.
