A teenager is lucky to be alive after he was fired upon at a convenience store in the Silver Terrace neighborhood on Saturday, police said.
The 19-year-old male victim was at the store in the 2400 block of San Bruno Avenue about 9:30 p.m. leaning against the counter when he heard several shots ring out, police said. The victim ducked and hid behind some shelves.

A suspicious four-alarm fire in San Francisco's Silver Terrace neighborhood damaged four homes and displaced 10 people early Tuesday morning.
The blaze was reported on Boutwell Street near Bayshore Boulevard at about 3 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find the buildings ablaze and power lines down, Assistant Fire Chief Tom Siragusa said. He said that when he got to the scene, he smelled gas.

The victims were identified as Allen Vance, 39, and Chastity Dollison, 20, both of San Francisco.
