A San Francisco man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a bank in downtown San Rafael last week, police said Monday.
Jeremiah C. Martin, 36, was arrested at his Sixth Street apartment about 10 p.m. Saturday, police said. Martin is suspected of robbing the Citibank at 666 Third St. shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, according to police. Read More
A passenger who died on a BART train last week has been identified by the San Francisco medical examiner's office as 32-year-old San Rafael resident Thomas Fisher.
Fisher was found on a Richmond-to-Millbrae train after passengers reported a man slumped over in one of the cars just after 2:30 p.m. last Tuesday, BART spokesman Jim Allison said.
The train was halted at the Embarcadero Station in San Francisco and Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene. Read More
An elderly woman wanted to be judge and jury to two boys when she demanded they get in her car.
Police are looking for the woman after she reportedly followed two 13-year-old boys who were walking home in San Anselmo on Wednesday.
The two boys were walking from a downtown restaurant to their house on Greenfield Avenue about 6:40 p.m. when the woman pulled up alongside them and told them to get in the car. Read More

More than 2,000 PG&E customers in the Bay Area are without power Friday afternoon due to three separate outages around the region, a utility spokeswoman said.The biggest outage is in the area of San Francisco’s Parkmerced, where more than 1,500 customers are without power, according to PG&E.The cause of the outage had not been determined as of noon, and there was no estimate for when power would be restored, spokeswoman Katie Romans said.
