A man accused of assaulting the manager of a Salvation Army store in South San Francisco after he was caught shoplifting last summer is facing a four-year prison sentence after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors Monday. Stepdad pleads out of child sex abuse case

This guy is the stepdad from hell. And yet his victims only wanted to keep mom happy. Robert Sparhawk, 48, of Palo Alto pleaded no contest Monday to three felony child molestation charges for sexually abusing his wife’s two daughters, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said. Sparhawk, an IT analyst for a San Francisco company, reportedly began the abuse in February 2007 when the family lived in San Mateo. The victims were 11 and 12 years old at the time. Read More

Man suspected of groping two girls in San Bruno Target store

A man accused of grabbing the buttocks of young girls at the Target store in San Bruno last month had been wearing a T-shirt at the time that read, “Rub Me For Luck,” prosecutors said Tuesday. UPS deliveryman Glenn Albrecht, 49, faces child molestation charges in connection with two separate alleged groping incidents Aug. 26 at The Shops at Tanforan.
