A good Samaritan helped cops catch a laptop thief on Friday, police said. The Samaritan saw a 22-year-old man enter a residence in the 200 block of Dolores Street around 12:30 a.m. and called the police, cops said. A 31-year-old man was killed when an intoxicated driver who was speeding and running multiple red lights plowed into his car on Geary Boulevard Thursday, police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was killed upon impact around 2:15 a.m. at the intersection of Arguello Boulevard, police spokeswoman Lt. Lyn Tomioka said.
