Man found guilty of beating homeless girlfriend to death

A man who viciously beat his homeless ex-girlfriend to death in front of a South of Market district nightclub in 2008 was found guilty of second-degree murder Monday. Anthony Marks, 46, killed 44-year-old Robin Kent in front of Boss Nightclub at Harrison and Lapu Lapu streets just before noon. The murder was unrelated to the nightclub. Kent was discovered in a pool of blood, police said. The body was wrapped in blankets and shielded from view by wooden boards. Read More
