The San Francisco Bulls fell behind in the second period and could never recover Sunday during a 4-2 loss to the Bakersfield Condors at the Cow Palace.
Bakersfield jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second period on goals from Francis Verreault and Jacob Lagace only 11 seconds apart. The Condors extended their lead to 3-0 on a shorthanded goal by Nicholas Tremblay.

After recording five points against the Ontario Reign on Friday, San Francisco Bulls center Marek Viedensky jumped onto the microphone at the Cow Palace. “It feels great to play here,” he told the crowd. “You’re our seventh man on the ice.”The admiration is mutual. The Bulls are 5-1 since Viedensky’s arrival from Worcester of the American Hockey League on Nov. 15. The team had dropped nine of 10 games before the Slovakian center joined the roster.

The San Francisco Bulls, The City’s new minor-league hockey team, announced Tuesday they have signed their first player, 30-year-old right wing Peter Sivak.
The Slovakian native is a 13-year veteran of the Slovakian and Czech Extraligas, and set the European record for fastest goal from the start of a game when he scored 4.08 seconds into the first period on Jan. 18.
The move to San Francisco is one that makes sense for Sivak, whose wife is a doctor in the Bay Area.
