Hundreds of Occupy SF protesters marched through San Francisco’s Financial District on Wednesday morning for an anti-Wall Street rally outside Wells Fargo headquarters, denouncing the disparity between the rich and poor while stifling traffic and blocking grumbling bankers from going to work.

“Occupy Oakland” demonstrators who converged on Frank Ogawa Plaza on Monday afternoon remained camped out in front of Oakland City Hall this morning.Dozens of tents dotted the lawn, and about 75 people gathered under a large tarp at the camp to discuss logistical plans for the open-ended protest.

The wave of protests that began with “Occupy Wall Street” in September is continuing to expand in the Bay Area, and activists plan to begin camping out in Oakland’s Frank Ogawa Plaza this afternoon.Protesters announced online that “Occupy Oakland” will begin at 4 p.m. when they will gather outside Oakland’s City Hall, creating an encampment in the spirit of similar protests throughout the nation.

Despite an early-morning raid Thursday by police and the Department of Public Works, Occupy SF protesters re-established their camp this weekend, taking up most of the block in front of the Federal Reserve building on Market Street.

Unlike in New York, demonstrators of the Occupy SF movement aren’t likely going to find a central public outdoor refuge in The City for camping. Participants in the flagship Occupy Wall Street demonstrations have secured a fairly stable staging ground at privately owned Zuccotti Park, around the corner from the financial epicenter that is the target of their anger.
