Oregon State defensive tackle Fred Thompson died Wednesday night after he collapsed while playing basketball at a campus recreation center.Thompson, just four days shy of his 20th birthday, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, where he was pronounced dead.Thompson, 6-foot-4 and 317 pounds, was a true freshman from Richmond, Calif., who played at Oakland Tech High School. Gossip website TMZ is reporting today that influential ’90s rapper Heavy D has died. He was 44 years old. According to reports, Heavy D was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital around noon and was pronounced dead about an hour later. A call to 911 was placed from Heavy D’s house around 11:25 a.m. reporting an unconscious male on the walkway. Read More
