A 14-year-old boy who was severely beaten at a park in downtown San Jose last week died Monday, police and school officials said. Police responded to a report of a fight at Roosevelt Park on Friday evening. Officers found San Jose resident Heriberto Reyes, an eighth-grader at Bernal Intermediate School, seriously wounded, police said. The other people involved in the fight had fled the scene.
