Two people, including a man walking into a corner store, were killed Tuesday morning after a driver who was fleeing police in the Mission district crashed his vehicle, police said.
About 7:45 a.m., police said, officers responded to reports of shots fired from a black Chevrolet Impala at the Valencia Gardens housing projects near 14th and Guerrero streets. Within minutes, police said, officers were able to stop a vehicle at 21st and Mission streets that matched the description.
