A woman who was jogging in Lower Nob Hill past midnight was attacked and robbed of her cellphone and identification card Tuesday, police said.
The 21-year-old was not seriously injured during the robbery at Sutter and Jones streets. No arrests have been reported.

A 23-year-old man was arrested Saturday after attempting to steal the tip jar in a restaurant in Lower Nob Hill, police said.
The thief entered the restaurant in the 500 block of Post Street about 3 p.m. and snatched the tip jar. As an employee struggled to retrieve it, the crook bit him on the wrist and tried to flee, police said. The man was arrested near the restaurant.

San Francisco police said they are no longer seeking the female passenger who fled in a car after its driver was injured during a Lower Nob Hill gunbattle with officers Wednesday.

A man was pepper-sprayed in an attempted robbery by a panhandling creep in the Lower Nob Hill neighborhood Tuesday morning, cops said. The 42-year-old victim was in the 400 block of Geary Street around 11:15 a.m. when the suspect, a man in his 50s, asked the victim for change, police said. The victim said no so the suspect grabbed the victim’s bag, cops said.
