A 23-year-old woman is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon on charges that she plowed her car into three pedestrians last week — killing a mother in front of her horrified son — while at the scenic Twin Peaks lookout.On Monday, prosecutors charged San Francisco resident Gina Eunice with four felonies, two misdemeanors and an infraction related to the Thursday night collision on Christmas Tree Point Road that knocked the pedestrians about 30 feet down a hillside.

A cabdriver and two good Samaritans helped rescue a man from a car that had burst into flames in San Francisco’s South of Market district early Monday, using a toppled street sign to smash a window during the daring rescue, according to KTVU and fire officials.
San Francisco police rushed to Folsom and 12th streets at 1:37 a.m. on a call that a car was engulfed in flames after plowing into a light pole.

A 2-ton historic church bell was stolen from St. Mary’s Cathedral on Geary Boulevard, police said Monday.

No one knows for certain when the bell was stolen from the garden. The theft was reported last weekend.
"Nobody can swear on a stack of Bibles when they last saw the bell," San Francisco police Inspector Brian Danker said.
