When fans of the “Razor and Mr. T” show on KNBR (680 AM) tuned in on Wednesday, the familiar raspy voice often compared to Joe Pesci was absent.Longtime personality Ralph Barbieri was let go by the station, according to reports, ending an era of Bay Area sports radio.Barbieri had co-hosted the popular 3 to 7 p.m. show with Tom Tolbert since 1996 and was with the station 28 years. Several schools in San Francisco and the Peninsula won grants of up to $5,000 for physical education, sports and other programs, Bay Area radio station KNBR announced. The schools were nominated for the Step Up To The Plate For Education program by radio listeners, who wrote 500-word essays explaining why their school could use the money.
