Scoring in each of the last five innings, Alabama secured its spot opposite Oklahoma in the best-of-three Women’s College World Series championship round with a 5-2 decision over top-seeded Cal on Sunday.

Cal rallied from a 2-0 deficit, broke the game open in the sixth inning and the No. 1-ranked Bears beat LSU 5-3 in the opening round of the Women’s College World Series on Thursday.
Cal broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the sixth with three runs. The go-ahead run scored on Jamia Reid’s infield single. Bears’ cleanup hitter Frani Echavarria drove in three runs — on a single in the third, sacrifice fly in the fifth and a groundout in the sixth.
