Police in Belmont are searching for three suspects who threw a handgun out of a car while being pursued by officers Monday morning.
The three men were in a residential neighborhood in a car that had no license plates, police said. They fled as cops approached the car.

A store in the South of Market neighborhood was robbed by a gang of armed punks Thursday, police said. The four suspects, one man in his 20s and three women ranging in age from 18 to 25, entered the store in the 800 block of Howard Street around 6 p.m., took seven jackets and left without paying, cops said.
