Man shot in the hip in Mission district

A man was shot in the hip in the Mission district Thursday, police said.The 48-year-old victim was walking in the area of 18th and Mission streets around 9:45 p.m. when he heard shots fired from an unknown direction, cops said. He was subsequently struck by gunfire in the hip and transported to the hospital. His injuries were not life threatening, police said. Two injured in early-morning Oakland shooting

A shooting in Oakland left two people injured early Sunday morning, police said. Officers responded to the 8400 block of Enterprise Way at 3:36 a.m. and found one male suffering from a gunshot wound, Officer John Low said. The victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
