Western Addition victim had nothing to offer thieves, but was stabbed anyway

A 38-year-old man reportedly told armed crooks in the Western Addition on Tuesday that he had nothing to give them. But that didn’t stop one of the thugs from stabbing the man in the torso with a small knife on the corner of Laguna and Grove streets at about 7:20 p.m. The suspects fled after the pointless attack empty-handed, police said. Hayes Valley shooting may have injured unwanted target

A shooting in the Hayes Valley neighborhood Saturday night sent one person — who may not have been the intended victim — to the hospital. Dew Tour and other Civic Center Plaza events draw fans and foes

Civic Center Plaza has been shut down to host large-scale events for extended periods during the past two months, prompting a San Francisco supervisor to complain about the Recreation and Park Department’s stewardship of the space.
