Two people have been taken into custody in connection with a shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon in San Francisco’s Bayview district.
The 18-year-old male victim was shot twice on the corner of Third Street and Gilman Avenue around 3:45 p.m. by two suspects, according to police.
The suspects were seen fleeing into a home on the 1000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue, and police immediately surrounded the house.

In an effort to combat a rise in gang violence, South San Francisco has hired a local nonprofit to organize a series of community meetings and train police officers on building trust with neighbors.
The City Council signed a $35,000 contract Wednesday with the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, which hopes to replicate successful strategies it has used since 2004 to clean up a violence-plagued neighborhood in San Mateo.

The Mission district had a respite from recent gang violence last week, but the shooting of several people outside a 16th Street bar late Monday has police worried it has resumed.“We really don’t know for sure,” Mission Police Station Capt.
