A San Francisco taxi driver was knocked out with a metal sign during a spat with a customer over cab fare Friday morning, police said.Police took a 46-year-old man into custody following the hack attack at Turk and Larkin streets around 3 a.m.After arguing over the fare outside the cab, a brawl broke out. Two victims of a baseball bat beating and robbery took a cab to St. Francis Hospital Saturday morning, police said.The victims, men ages 23 and 24, got into an argument with two thugs in the area of Fillmore and O’Farrell streets around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.The thugs beat them with a baseball bat before fleeing with a wallet, cash, credits cards and a cell phone, police said.The victims’ injuries were not life threatening.
